This is a registered voluntary, non-profit organization.

MSSI works for the welfare of persons affected by Multiple Sclerosis.

The Society is a member of the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation - MSIF based in London, UK. MSSI works in co-operation with 48 other member countries of MSIF, thereby working in collaborating with similar organization all over the world .Since 1985 the Society has grown gradually, serving Multiple Sclerosis persons through its 9 Chapters throughout India.

The Society endeavours to further help persons with MS by providing.

 Medical services for admission to hospital.

 Obtaining free medicines.

 Free nursing.

 Physiotherapy.

 Diet guidance.

 A home visiting service for MS persons.

 Aids and equipment for patients requiring wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes.

 Vocational opportunities for homebound mobile patients. Guidance and Counseling for patients and families.

 Providing Medical Reimbursements on monthly basis.

 Patient Welfare through group meetings, recreational and social events for interaction.
