How do I use my account?

What content can I create?

Your NGO Member account on CIOSA allows you to create the following content:

  1. Create your Profile

  2. Seek a Contribution in kind or time

  3. Publish News

  4. Announce Events

 

How do I create my Profile?

  1. In your user menu, click on Create Content.

  2. Do you see a link called ‘NGO Profile’? Click on that.

  3. In the field called ‘Name’ please enter your NGO’s full name with the abbreviation in brackets

  4. Click on the link called ‘Basic Information’ to enter your Summary and Image (this is for adding your logo), upload your Brochure, Contact person’s Name, and E-mail IDs (a maximum of two). The fields are called:

    1. Summary

    2. Image

    3. Brochure

    4. Contact person

    5. Email

  5. In the next field called ‘Groups’ select the CoP that you are a part of.

  6. Once you are done, please click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom.

  7. After you preview the content and make any changes you want to, click on ‘Save’ to publish your content.

 

How do I seek a Contribution?

  1. In your user menu, click on Create Content.

  2. Do you see a link called ‘Contribution’? Click on that.

  3. Enter the ‘Title’ for the Contribution that you are seeking (for example, ‘Teach a child’)

  4. In the field called ‘Contribute’, please choose the type of Contribution you are seeking:

    1. Materials

    2. Skills

    3. Time

  5. After you have selected the type of Contribution, describe your need and what you are looking for in the field named ‘Body

  6. If you wish to add a photo, or image you can do so in the ‘Image’ field that you can see immediately after the ‘Body’ field. Browse and Upload the image.

  7. Once you are done, please click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom.

  8. After you preview the content and make any changes you want to, click on ‘Save’ to publish your content.

 

How do I publish News?

  1. In your user menu, click on Create Content.

  2. Do you see a link called ‘News’? Click on that.

  3. Enter the ‘Title’ for the News item you want to add (for example, ‘Our Home’s children register 100% pass’)

  4. In the Drop Down called ‘News’ please select ‘Member News’

  5. After you have selected the News category, enter the news in the field named ‘Body

  6. If you wish to add a photo, or image you can do so in the ‘Image’ field that you can see immediately after the ‘Body’ field. Browse and Upload the image.

  7. Once you are done, please click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom.

  8. After you preview the content and make any changes you want to, click on ‘Save’ to publish your content

 

How do I announce an Event?

  1. In your user menu, click on Create Content.

  2. Do you see a link called ‘Event’? Click on that.

  3. Enter the ‘Title’ for the Event that you want to announce

  4. In the Drop Down called ‘Events’ please select ‘Member Events’

  5. In the ‘Time and Date’ field, enter the From Date and Time and To Date and Time

  6. Enter the Venue for the event

  7. After you have entered the Venue, enter the content about the Event in the field named ‘Body

  8. If you wish to add a photo, or image you can do so in the ‘Image’ field that you can see immediately after the ‘Body’ field. Browse and Upload the image.

  9. Once you are done, please click on ‘Preview’ at the bottom.

  10. After you preview the content and make any changes you want to, click on ‘Save’ to publish your content

 

 

Some common instructions

  1. If you are creating content in a Word file and would like to copy and paste the content into the website, please press on the Microsoft Word icon in the editor that you see just below the ‘Body:’ field

  1. If you wish to add a photo, or image you can do so in the ‘Image’ field that you can see immediately after the ‘Body’ field. Browse and Upload the image. Once the image is uploaded, please place the cursor in the point in the Body area where you want the image to be inserted and click Insert

  2. After inserting the image, right click on the image

  3. You will see a label that reads Image Properties

  4. Click on Image Properties

  5. Once you click on Image Properties and see the dialog box that you see below, please enter the settings as shown:
